Biometric devises are to make life easier for others to access important information but in a very cautious way. With the biometric system the person is the key, the password to access the data. We dont need to have use passwords which can be forgotten or lost.
For organisations it is very useful for it uses the uniqueness of each individual to lock or activate access confidential information. In hospitals or clinics, private information can be accessed by more than one pĥysician as they use the same room and computerrs. the biometric system not only ensure more security but simplifies the procedures required to access the information- the individual does not have to remember a code or password to type in. It is also user friendly as one just has to use his or her body part rather than using your family history information.
The person that needs to access that information has to be present. An individuals body part like the voice, vein, fingerprint, eye are very difficult to copy, change, loose, ciculate and steal. This means the private data that the institution has will be very difficult for an unauthorised person to access.
